Organizational Overview

Sunrise Holistic Care Inc is a California-based provider of integrated, evidence-based services for children and individuals with developmental disabilities. The organisation is a subsidiary of Sunrise Behavioural Health Pty Ltd, an Australia-based parent company. Sunrise Holistic Care Inc delivers coordinated supports under one umbrella, ensuring continuity of care across the lifespan. Services are provided in close partnership with individuals, families, California Regional Centers, schools, and healthcare providers to promote meaningful and sustainable outcomes.

Director

Jay (Rajesh) Sharma,
M.A., MSW, BCBA

Jay (Rajesh) Sharma is the Director of Sunrise Holistic Care Inc and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities and complex support needs. He holds Masters of Arts (Psychology & Applied Behavior Analysis) and a Master of Social Work (MSW), bringing a unique and integrated perspective that combines behavioral science, mental health, and family-centered practice.

As a Director, Jay provides organisational leadership across all service areas, including Applied Behavior Analysis, Positive Behavior Support, and multidisciplinary care. He oversees assessment, treatment planning, staff supervision, and quality assurance to ensure services are ethical, evidence-based, and aligned with best practices.

Jay is deeply committed to a whole-of-life, person-centered approach that emphasizes dignity, independence, and meaningful community participation. He works closely with families, caregivers, and community partners to build services that are responsive, culturally respectful, and focused on long-term outcomes.

As the founder of Sunrise Holistic Care Inc, Jay’s vision is to create an integrated service model where individuals and families can access coordinated supports under one organization, reducing service gaps and strengthening continuity of care across the lifespan.

Director

Sharleen (Shar) Durham, BCBA Supervisor / Mentor

Sharleen (Shar) Durham is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with extensive experience delivering evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and individuals with developmental disabilities. She is committed to providing high-quality, person-centered, and ethical behavior analytic services that support meaningful skill development and improved quality of life.

Shar brings significant leadership and management experience, having served as a Clinical Director and as Head of a Special Education Department. Her background reflects strong expertise in program development, staff supervision, and system-level service delivery across educational and clinical settings.

Shar’s clinical focus includes assessment-driven intervention, Positive Behavior Support, and close collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams. She has supported individuals across home, school, and community environments and places strong emphasis on caregiver training and capacity-building to ensure sustainable, long-term outcomes.

At Sunrise Holistic Care Inc, Shar provides mentorship to emerging clinicians and leaders. She plays a key role in ensuring our policy framework and service delivery are well-aligned with best practices, as well as the California Regional Centre and Medi-Cal service systems.
